Therapy Should Not Cause More Harm
Tombo Therapy Healing prioritizes making our therapeutic space welcoming, inclusive, safe, and accepting of all. I am dedicated to continuing to learn and work through a lens of cultural humility in order to offer therapy services in an affirming, stigma-free environment.
A clinician with racist, sexist, fatphobic, transphobic, or homophobic beliefs may project them onto their clients, leading to further trauma and distress. Similarly, clinicians not trained in working with individuals from marginalized communities may not have the knowledge or expertise necessary to provide effective treatment. I believe in the importance of advocacy for client rights and autonomy, including the right to report unethical and harmful conduct from a mental health provider.
Honoring Our Scope of Practice
Please note, I refer out for the following presenting concerns:
- Urgent thoughts of self-harm or suicide, including detailed plans or recent attempts.
- Symptoms of psychosis such as seeing or hearing things that others do not, or holding beliefs significantly different from reality.
- Active substance use issues, eating disorders, including active, recently in recovery, and disordered eating patterns, are above and beyond the scope of our clinical team.
- Situations requiring a more intensive level of care, such as intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization, or inpatient treatment.
- Immediate support for legal matters, such as custody disputes.
- Issues related to Intimate Partner Violence, particularly if you are seeking relational/couples therapy.

FAQs
Cancellation Policy
Tombo Therapy Healing requires 48-Hour Notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled within less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.
Our practice is a small business where our clinicians are paid by the clinical hour. Providing more than 48 hours’ notice to your clinician allows them to fill that clinical spot with someone else in need. Clients will be charged the full session fee for late cancellations and no shows.
Recognizing that unexpected events can arise, clients are offered one courtesy late cancellation per calendar year. While it is recommended to reserve this for emergencies, it may be used at your discretion.
Telehealth Policy
Our practice uses Sessions EHR, a secure and HIPAA compliant two-way video chat application.
Patient is required to be physically in the state of Oregon or Washington at the time of our Telehealth appointment. If you are traveling out of the state during one of our scheduled appointments, we will need to cancel our appointment and reschedule when you are back in your state of residence.
